Code of Conduct of Tanja Klein GmbH, hereinafter referred to as kleinbasel

  1. Introduction and values
    kleinbasel stands for integrity, respect, fairness and professionalism. This Code of Conduct defines the minimum standards for our daily dealings with employees, customers, business partners and suppliers. It forms the basis of our corporate culture and our business relationships.
  2. Compliance with laws and standards
    kleinbasel undertakes to comply with applicable Swiss legislation and all applicable European and international regulations. Violations of the law will not be tolerated and may result in consequences under labor or contractual law.
  3. Responsibility in production
    kleinbasel prefers to have products manufactured in Europe. In this way, we promote regional value creation, short supply chains and high social and ecological standards. All production partners are obliged to comply with the applicable national and European labor, social and environmental laws.
  4. Fair wages and working conditions
    – Employees are entitled to fair remuneration.
    – Working hours, rest periods, breaks and vacation arrangements comply with legal requirements.
    – Overtime is voluntary and is compensated by time off.
    – Equal treatment and equal opportunities must be ensured.
  5. Prohibition of discrimination, respect and protection of personality
    – Any form of discrimination based on origin, gender, age, religion, disability or sexual orientation is prohibited.
    – Bullying, abuse of power and sexual harassment in the workplace will not be tolerated and will be consistently punished in accordance with Art. 328 CO.
    – Respectful and appreciative treatment must be maintained at all times.
  6. Health, safety and environmental protection
    – Workplaces must be designed to be safe, hygienic and healthy.
    – The applicable occupational health and safety regulations in accordance with Swiss and European standards must be complied with.
    – kleinbasel uses resources responsibly and takes care to minimize its environmental impact
  7. Prohibition of child and forced labor
    – Child labor and any form of forced labor are strictly prohibited.
    – The minimum age of employees must comply with legal requirements and the standards of the International Labor Organization (ILO).
  8. Freedom of assembly
    The right to freedom of assembly and collective bargaining is respected within the framework of the applicable legal provisions.
  9. Avoidance of conflicts of interest
    – Business decisions are made exclusively in the interests of kleinbasel.
    – Secondary activities or shareholdings that could lead to conflicts of interest must be reported and approved.
  10. Corruption, bribery and gifts
    – The granting or acceptance of unfair advantages is prohibited.
    – Gifts or invitations may only be accepted or granted if they do not exceed a reasonable value (e.g. up to CHF 50 or CHF 100) and do not influence independence.
  11. Data protection and confidentiality
    – kleinbasel protects personal data in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (nDSG).
    – Business and trade secrets as well as confidential information must be strictly protected and may not be disclosed to third parties either during or after the employment relationship.
  12. Transparency and cooperation with partners
    – Business partners and suppliers of kleinbasel undertake to comply with this Code of Conduct.
    – kleinbasel reserves the right to conduct audits and take appropriate measures in the event of justified indications of violations.
  13. Implementation and further development
    This Code of Conduct is an integral part of kleinbasel’s corporate culture and our business relationships. It is regularly reviewed and further developed as required.
